A Meaningful Time in Phuentsholing

This time, the Phuentsholing workshop was more than just another gathering—it was a true testament to the power of a bottom-up approach to development, ensuring social accountability and contributing to the essence of Tsa-Wa-Sum in a way that truly belonged to the people.

Beyond the workshop itself, what I cherished the most was the camaraderie. I found myself blending effortlessly with everyone, speaking non-stop like a parrot, without a trace of hesitation. The experience was a blessing, reconnecting me with old friends and forming new bonds.

Among them was my Dzongkhag colleague, our former Election Officer, whose engaging conversations offered valuable insights into life. I also reunited with my college mate, Jigme, who now teaches in Phuentsholing. Little did I know he was married, and seeing his wife unexpectedly left me momentarily surprised before I warmly offered them Tashi Delek.

Over a cup of tea, I had the joy of meeting my best pal, reminiscing about old times, and later giving our feet some much-needed exercise at Jaigaon—though she fondly called it Jaihon. The time spent in Phuentsholing felt truly unique and unforgettable.

Another highlight was meeting a Zhemgang DT officer, a fellow Taktse graduate, and my junior, yet we bonded instantly as if we had known each other for years. Noticing that most of the participants were also Taktse graduates filled me with pride—seeing how we are all serving the country at the grassroots level, living up to our commitment to serving from the heart.

This Phuentsholing moment was truly different—one of learning, laughter, and a renewed sense of purpose.
