Thimpu: The city of crazy

For me, the best about Thimphu is not Buddha's point but a trip in a cab and meeting different people. I enjoy it. Maybe they are not, and I am gawkily odd.

It all started first with Farmer Sangay in a cab towards the town from the start-up center. Kaeljay and I knew that it is he but we dared not break the ice. When he got off the cab, he smiled at us and we showed him our 64 teeth back-we didn’t keep a debt.

But, back in my mind, I wanted to shout, “Hello everybody, this is farmer Sangay with us !”

Then, I was in another cab. There I met a monk. He said he is the reincarnation of the great saint from Tibet. Fair.

But sooner, this great saint started signing and assertively said that he can win the superstar singing competition if he is in. Thereafter, the sky would not stop pouring.

This was fine at least. There was another guy. He was not drunk; but, looked like a drunk. He would cheer up the monk to sing and would snigger uncontrollably on the other hand. What a man!

These made me feel motivated to become a cab driver today.
