People kept saying, "Don't go to Changyul Park. All the roses are gone."
Well, technically, that's not true.
I found two roses still blooming beautifully and somehow ended up right between them.
One has been putting up with me since our Thinleygang Middle Secondary School days and remained in the same class all the way to Punakha Higher Secondary School.
Back then, we took the science stream with great ambition. We probably imagined ourselves becoming scientists, doctors, or engineers and making groundbreaking discoveries.
Life, however, had other plans.
Today, one is an agricultural economics and rural development officer, and the other is an environment specialist.
So technically, science did not go to waste. We just ended up experimenting on society instead of in a laboratory.
The other is a Gen Z EDMO colleague whose presence single-handedly prevents our group from being classified as senior citizens.
So while others were looking for flowers, I was busy enjoying the premium collection today.
