Kalyon Yongba and Liquor: the story behind the rising inebriate in SJ

Just like the Lava River in Hawaii, Neuschwanstein in Germany, and Rainbow Mountain in Peru are famous, Bars are considered Mecca for the inebriates in SJ.

This may be true for other Dzongkhags too, but SJ portrays this story differently.

I was telling taciturn Ata Jigme that I am going vegetarian from tomorrow.  Unrelatedly, he was telling me, no matter what, I cannot leave liquor [As If I am a tippler]

Intrigued, I asked him why.

Three siblings were on a journey from Trashigang to SJ to look for a place to rule. The eldest was Kalyon Yongba, and sisters, Uni and Ani. Presumably, they intended to establish their dominion in present-day Jomotsangkha Drungkhag.

The sisters could make it. But brother Kalyon Yongba, who is a little imbecile, got drunk during the journey and could not keep up with his sisters. Consequently, he became separated from them and occupied the very place.

Due to this, it is believed that 1 out of  3 who visit Samdrup Jongkhar picks up a drinking habit.

Evidently, bars are the only business that I have seen running successfully with high-profit margins.

So, if we wish to reduce the number of liver cirrhosis cases in the hospitals, the first thing we need to do is to defeat Kalyon Yongba.
