བསམ་ཡས་མི་འགྱུར་གཙུག་ལག་ཁང་གི་བསྟོད་པའི་མཆོད་སྤྲིན།
The unchanging Samye Monastery’s
panegyrical cloud of offerings
མངའ་བདག་ཆོས་རྒྱལ་ཁྲི་སྲོང་ལྡེའུ་བཙན་གྱིས།
The Dharma king, Thrisong Dutshen
ཐུགས་བསྐྱེད་སྨོན་ལམ་བཟང་པོ་བཏབ་པའི་མཐུས།།
With his power of good wishes
གངས་ཅན་བོད་ཀྱི་སེམས་ཅན་གཙོར་བྱས་པའི།།
Primarily, the sentient beings of Tibet,
འཛམ་གླིང་མཐའ་གྲུ་ཀུན་ལ་ཕན་པའི་ཕྱིར།།
For the benefit of the world,
དམ་ཆོས་བསྟན་པ་ཐོག་མར་བཙུགས་པ་ལ།
Has instituted Buddha teaching for the first time
འགྲོ་བ་ལྷ་མི་རྣམས་ཀྱི་བསོད་ནམས་ཞིང་།།
This is the fortune of Gods and people.
གཙུག་ལག་ཁང་ཞིག་ངེས་པར་བཞེངས་དགོས་དགོངས།
He felt the deem need to build the monastery
ཐུགས་བསྐྱེད་དམ་བཅའ་བླ་མེད་ཡང་ཡང་མཛད།
And made the supreme pledge again and again
འཕགས་ཡུལ་རྒྱ་གར་ཟ་ཧོར་པད་མའི་གནས།
The sacred site of Pema at Zahor in India
ཆོས་རྒྱལ་གོ་མ་དེ་བྱིའི་སྲས་སུ་འཁྲུངས།།
The prince is born to the prince of erstwhile Dharma
King
མཁན་ཆེན་བྷོ་དྡི་ས་ཏྭ་གདན་འདྲེན་ཞུས།
He invited Khenchen Boddhisatva
གཙུག་ལག་ཁང་གི་ས་གཞི་བྱིན་བརླབ་མཛད།
The khenchen blessed the land of Monastery
བསམ་པ་འགྲུབ་ཅིང་དམ་ཆོས་དར་བར་གསུངས་།
The wish is fulfilled and Dharma will propagate, he
said.
རྩིག་པའི་རྨང་བཅུག་ལས་རྣམས་འགོ་བཙུགས་སྐབས།
When foundation was laid and works were commenced
ལྷ་འདྲེ་གདུག་རྩུབ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་བར་ཆད་བྱས།།
The bestial demons caused hindrance
ཉིན་བརྩིགས་ནུབ་མོ་བཤིག་ནས་རྩིག་མ་སྟེར།
The wall was built in a day and destroyed at night
མཁན་ཆེན་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔས་ལུང་བསྟན་ནས། །
The altruist Khenchen prophesied,
རྒྱ་གར་རྡོ་རྗེ་གདན་གྱི་མཆོད་རྟེན་དྲུང་། །
Before the stupa of Dorji Den in
India
ཨོ་རྒྱན་པད་མ་འབྱུང་གནས་ཞེས་བྱ་བ། །
A noble called Orgyen Pema Jungney
དེ་ཉིད་སྤྱན་དྲོངས་རྒྱལ་པོའི་ཐུགས་དགོངས་འགྲུབ།
Invite him to fulfill the king’s wish,
དུས་རབས་བརྒྱད་པ་ས་ཕོ་སྟག་གི་ལོར། །
In the eight century of the Earth Male Tiger
year
སྟོན་ཟླ་འབྲིང་པོའི་ཚེས་བརྒྱད་བརྩིགས་རྨང་བརྩུགས།
།
The foundation was laid on eight day of
mid-fall
རྒྱལ་པོ་ཉིད་ཀྱི་དབུ་རྩེ་རིགས་གསུམ་དང་། །
The king built the triple-storied Central
Temple
གསེར་གྱི་རི་བདུན་གླིང་བཞི་གླིང་ཕྲན་ཚུལ། །
Representing the seven golden mountains,
four continents and island
ཚངས་པ་བརྒྱ་བྱིན་གཉིས་ཀྱིས་གྱང་མཁན་བྱས། །
The dual, Brahma and Indra, did the walls
རྒྱལ་ཆེན་བཞི་ཡིས་ལས་དཔོན་ལྷ་འདྲེ་སྐུལ། །
The great four kings directed the heads
of demon
བརྩིག་བཟོ་མཁན་པོ་ཧ་ཤང་མ་ཧཱ་ཡ། །
The great mason, Hashang Maha ya
ཧོར་ཡག་ཀྲ་ཀར་ལ་སོགས་བརྩིག་བཟོ་བྱས། །
And Horyag Trakar did the masonry
ཤིང་བཟོ་མཁན་པོ་རྒྱ་ནག་ལང་མཚོ་ཧེ། །
The great carpenter, the young Chinese Hey
བལ་པོ་བྷ་སུ་ལ་སོགས་བཟོ་བོ་ཡིས། །
And the Nepalese Bhasu did the carpentry
མི་དཀར་རྟ་དཀར་ཞིག་གི་རྒྱལ་པོའི་དྲུང་། །
Before the king, the white man and horse
ལྷ་ཁང་བཞེངས་ཆེད་ཤིང་རིགས་ངས་ཕུལ་ཞུ། །
Offered woods for the construction of monastery.
སྟེང་ཐོག་ལྷ་དང་བཅས་པ་རྒྱ་གར་ལུགས། །
The top with deities is the Indian
version
བར་ཐོག་ལྷ་དང་བཅས་པ་རྒྱ་ནག་ལུགས། །
The middle with the deities is the
Chinese version
འོག་ཐོག་ལྷ་དང་བཅས་པ་བོད་ཀྱི་ལུགས། །
The bottom with the deities is the Tibetan
version
ལུགས་གསུམ་དཔལ་གྱི་བསམ་ཡས་ཡོངས་སུ་གྲགས། །
The glorious Samye of three versions is
celebrated
རྒྱལ་པོའི་དགུང་ལོ་ཉེར་གཅིག་སྟག་གི་ལོར། །
When the king turned t
wenty-one in the
Tiger year
བསམ་ཡས་རྨང་བཏིང་དགུང་ལོ་ཉེར་ལྔ་ལ། །
After twenty-five years of Samye foundation
རྟ་ཡི་ལོ་ལ་ཕྱི་ནང་གཉིས་ཀ་བསྒྲུབས། །
In the horse year, it was complete
རྒྱལ་པོའི་བཞེད་དོན་ཐམས་ཅད་མཐའ་རུ་ཕྱིན། །
All the wishes of the king were fulfilled
བྲག་དམར་དཔལ་གྱི་བསམ་ཡས་གཙུག་ལག་ཁང་། །
The glorious Samye at Red Rock
རྟེན་དང་བརྟེན་པར་བཅས་པ་རབ་བསྒྲུབས་ནས། །
With the complete sanctuaries and sacred images
མཁན་སློབ་ཆོས་གསུམ་ལོ་ཙཱ་བརྒྱ་དང་བརྒྱད།
The abbot, the master, and the dharma king, and 108 translators
རབ་གནས་མཛད་ཅིང་ལེགས་པའི་བཀྲ་ཤིས་ཤོག
